Meet Your Instructor Sandra Ilett
Hello and welcome. I’m Sandra Ilett, Clinical Nurse, Continence Specialist and founder of Community Nurse Service Pty Ltd.
For more than 33 years, I’ve had the privilege of caring for people across Queensland, with much of my nursing career dedicated to continence care and supporting people living with bladder and bowel concerns.
Throughout my career, I’ve seen how overwhelming catheter care can feel — whether you’re having a catheter for the first time, living with one long-term, caring for someone else, or simply trying to understand what to do when something doesn’t seem right.
That’s why I created Catheter Help.
These free courses have been thoughtfully developed to provide clear, practical and objective catheter education relevant to people living in Australia. My aim is to take away some of the confusion, answer the questions people are sometimes afraid to ask, and help you feel more confident in understanding and managing catheter care.
Good catheter care isn’t just about the catheter itself. It’s about comfort, dignity, independence and helping people continue to live well.
